How many clicks to my website can I expect?

Podcast advertising in general does not drive a lot of direct clicks. Due to the nature of podcast listening, many times folks are listening when driving, exercising, doing laundry or house hold chores making clicking links in show notes difficult.

At Earmark we attempt to solve this in a few ways.

1) We put all the sponsor links at the top of the show notes:

2) We use a promo URL for each podcast / ad so that listeners only have to remember your brand they have heard the rest of the promo URL 100s of times, using these URLs also give us some tracking on the number of clicks.
3) If someone forgets the URL, or mistypes it we drive them to a promos page with your logo and a link to the site: https://accounting.show/promos

Many of our listeners are very loyal, and will usually mention to these sales rep they speak to that they heard about them on X podcast.

Many apps will create a special landing page to track the inbound traffic created by their podcast ad. Example:
